What is Cargo Plus from Progressive?
Cargo Plus is an addition to Progressive’s Motor Truck Cargo insurance policy that provides broader coverage against specific types of damage to the goods you transport. You might be receiving a notice from Progressive such as below.
What Does Progressive’s Cargo Plus Cover?
- Expanded Coverage for Motor Truck Cargo: Progressive’s Cargo Plus endorsement expands coverage for perils attributed to wetness, corrosion, and rust.
- Enhanced Refrigeration Breakdown Coverage: If you have Progressive’s Refrigeration Breakdown coverage, Cargo Plus extends protection to include damage resulting from temperature changes and spoilage.
What Happens to Existing Claims?
Progressive will handle claims with a loss date on or after March 31, 2025, in accordance with the enhanced coverage provided by the Cargo Plus endorsement, subject to all other policy terms and conditions.
