Rental Dwellings (Landlord) Foremost Replacement Program

Why is AmGUARD canceling my policy?

AmGUARD Insurance Company is withdrawing from the personal lines marketplace for admitted business to focus on commercial lines.

I’ve never heard of Foremost. Can you tell me about it?

Foremost has been in business since 1952. It is backed by the power of Farmers Insurance®, has a long history of leadership in property insurance, and is known for excellent customer service.

Will the new policy cost the same as my last policy?

Not necessarily. It may be more or less than the customer was paying previously. Customers need to check the payment due on the bill they were sent (or will be sent) with the Foremost replacement policy offer.

Do I have to accept this Foremost policy?

Your customers are not obligated to accept this policy; it is merely an offer. The Foremost policy offers coverage similar to what your customers had with AmGUARD, at a solid value. Foremost has been a well-known and trusted name for independent agents for many years.

Is it the same as my last policy?

Foremost tried to match previous coverages as closely as possible, but it is a new policy with a new company. You and your customers should review the replacement offer carefully to make sure it offers the coverages and limits the customer wants.

How do I accept the policy?

Payment on the policy will indicate acceptance of the replacement policy.

What will happen if I don’t pay for this replacement policy from Foremost?

If a customer or mortgage holder doesn’t pay for the offered replacement policy, the offer has not been accepted and the policy will flat cancel.

How do I make payment on the policy?

Customers can submit payment to you and you can send payment to the company. They also can log in to MyForemostAccount. com and make a one-time payment there or register for recurring payments. MyForemostAccount.com is the online customer service portal for Foremost policies. At that site, customers can download ID cards, make payments and more.

Can I set up recurring payments?

Yes. Customers can create an account at MyForemostAccount.com and sign up for recurring payments there.

My insurance is paid by my mortgage company from an escrow account. Will Foremost bill my mortgage company for this replacement policy?

If the AmGUARD policy was escrow-billed, Foremost Insurance will bill the mortgage company listed on the policy’s declarations page. Allowing payment by the mortgage company will indicate acceptance of the policy.
